Service Description
The American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification course is designed for all health care professionals and non-health care as well. All materials are provided, including PPE equipment. The American Heart Association BLS certification training course is about a 4-hour course that covers: 1. Scene safety 2. Early warnings signs and symptoms of heart attack 3. Checking for responsiveness and breathing 4. Activating EMS 5. CPR of the adult/child/infant 6. The choking adult/child/infant 7. One and two-rescuer CPR 8. Rescue breathing using mouth to mouth (with barrier device), pocket mask, and bag valve mask 9. Basic Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use, operation, and function. The American Heart Association BLS provider certification training course is for anyone in the healthcare field doctors, nurses, nursing students, medical students, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, dentists, physical therapists, paramedics, EMTs, or any student of healthcare or allied health profession. The content of this course includes: Key changes in basic life support reflecting the new scientific evidence from the 2015 American heart Association guidelines for cardiopulmonary resuscitation and emergency cardiovascular care Students will work with one of our American Heart Association BLS instructors to complete BLS practice and skills testing. Students also complete a written exam.
